Why is my picture colorless and rolling? What is NTSC/PAL? |

There are two different TV and video standards, NTSC and PAL. The United States is NTSC, while many European countries are PAL. Our players are compatible will both systems. If you get a rolling, colorless screen, than most likely you have chosen the wrong TV system. Hit the N/P or NTSC/PAL button on the remote control to adjust. |

Can I copy video from my Camcorder to a DVD Recorder? What is NTSC/PAL? |

To transfer your 8mm/Hi8/miniDV/Digital 8 tape to a DVD Recorder, just follow the following steps if using either standard Composite or S-video connections on your camcorder and DVD recorder.
1. Make sure you plug the camcorder directly into the DVD Recorder and NOT the TV. In addition, you have to make sure that your switch your DVD Recorder from its tuner to its AV inputs in order get the signal from those inputs to record on DVD. This is done with either an input select button on the DVD Recorder's remote or front of the DVD recorder. If your DVD Recorder has both video inputs on the front and back, the back inputs are usually labeled Line 1, AV1, Aux1, or Video 1 and the front inputs may be labeled Line 2, AV2, Aux2, or Video 2.
2. Plug the Audio/Video cables supplied with the camcorder to the AV outputs of the Camcorder, and the other ends to the AV inputs on either front or back of the DVD Recorder. Switch the DVD recorder to AV-in, Line-in, or Aux in (depends of brand).
3. Put the tape to be copied in the Camcorder, and also put a blank DVD in your DVD recorder (make sure the DVD is formatted or initialized - depends on format used).
4. Press play on the Camcorder, then press record on the DVD Recorder and you will be able to copy your tape.
5. When your recording is done, press record stop the DVD recorder and stop on the camcorder. Depending on what format of disc you use in the DVD recorder, you may need to go through a finalization step before removing the DVD from the DVD recorder. If you need to finalize your DVD, this step takes several minutes. On formats that require finalization, this process allows the finished DVD to be playable on most standard DVD players. |

What is Digital TV? |
| |
|
Fundamentally Digital TV is the broadcasting of Free to Air programming via a digital rather than analogue signal. It is sometimes referred to as DVB-T, Digital Video Broadcast - Terrestrial. There is also DVB-S (satellite) and DVB-C (cable)
There are two digital formats, Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD), the main difference being the quality of the picture and sound.
AUS In Australia all broadcasts should be in Widescreen format (16:9) and will appear letterboxed on standard 4:3 televisions. Each Network has one HD channel, and may have several SD channel(s). Each Network is approaching DVB-T in a slightly different manner, so there are differences in what each network is providing on DVB-T. All current free to air programming for each network is transmitted on one of the network's SD channels. Some networks have chosen to only broadcast HD transmission when the program is available to them in a HD format. At other times they broadcast a HD demonstration tape. |

How can I improve the sound of my speakers? |
| |
|
The best way to change the sound of your speakers is to change where you put them. Ideally, the speakers should be located at ear level, in front of you, squared off between you. It's then a matter of fiddling with:
- the angles
- the distance apart
- the distance from you
- the distance from the wall.
Just moving the speakers around in the room or putting them onto stands can make a major difference. |

Here we just mean car GPS systems. There are many applications for GPS systems in the car, from security needs to mapping systems, and on a larger scale, corporate logistics solutions. Many new high-end cars come equipped with GPS Systems that enable drivers to find street addresses or even specific restaurants and stores. These car GPS systems find a car's exact location and then can provide turn-by-turn directions |
